Veteran Llano golfers prepare for post-season run at state

Llano’s girls will compete in the Fredericksburg Tournament n Thursday while the boys varsity makes it last warmup for the District 25-4A tournament with trips to Fredericksburg and Kerrville for the weekend. Llano’s girls are led by Alex Riley and Kate McDonough. The boys team is led by Chance Craig, Clayton Meyers, Tyler McDonough, Holden Simpson, Jai Bhakta and Alex Binge. The District 25-4A tournament will be April 6-7. Llano host the first day and Lampasas the second day.

Llano softball looking for early success

The Llano Lady Jackets softball team will start their season with three straight ome games and third-year ead coach obby Williams expects the Llano to rely on its offense to keep the team in ontests. he season opener is at 5 p.m. Thursday ainst Mason. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 17, but it was moved because of the inclement weather. 
The Lady Jackets will come back on Friday and face Johnson City in a 5 p.m. start at the Lady Jackets diamond. This year’s team returns he core of the team, but will e looking for pitchers to emerge.

Llano packs busy golf week

Llano High School golfers  have packed schedule this week with the Llano Tournament for girls and boys and the regional preview event. The girls didn’t catch a break from the weather on Tuesday and had to play in 40 degree temperatures. The original tee time was pushed to 11 a.m. Llano coach Mike McIntosh said he had 15 teams scheduled for the girls’ one-day tournament.
