Small whitetail deer are a common sight in Lake LBJ's environs, but they are present in astonishing numbers in Deerhaven.
Located in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Horseshoe Bay, the Deerhaven subdivision is self-governed by an elected Property Owners Association, which manages its parks, pavilion and picnic facilities.
Deerhaven residents are close-knit, known for helping with neighborhood improvement projects and basking in the area's breath-taking views at the waterfront park and swimming pool.
