Marble Falls High School

Marble Falls High School enrolls more than 1,000 students in grades 9-12 with a teacher-to-student ratio of 14-to-1. The 4A high school was honored as a "Recognized" campus in 2008-2009 under the Texas Education Agency's accountability ratings, the second highest recognition awarded. The campus also won one gold performance award for campus wide improvement on TAKS math testing.

The school made "Adequate Yearly Progress" in student performance and accountability in 2008-2009 under No Child Left Behind. On 2009 TAKS exams, 60% of 9th-grade students met or exceeded standards in math, lower than the state average of 67%; in reading, 91%, higher than the state average of 87%. In 10th-grade, 89% of students met or exceeded standards in English language arts, higher than the state average of 88%; in math, 65%, equal to the state average of 65%; in science, 73%, higher than the state average of 66%; and in social studies, 95%, higher than the state average of 90%. In 11th-grade, 92% of students met or exceeded standards in English language arts, equal to the state average of 92%; in math, 81%, higher than the state average of 81%; in science, 88%, higher than the state average of 85%; and in social studies, 96%, lower than the state average of 97%.

The purple-and-gold Mustangs compete in boys' baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, track, and volleyball; as well as girls' basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track, and volleyball.

Clubs and extracurricular activities include marching and jazz band, Business Professionals of America, choir, cheerleading, chess club, Family Career Community Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Forensic Team, French Club, Future Farmers of America, Health Occupations Students of America, Key Club, Lovely Ladies Senior Girls Spirit Club, National Honor Society, PALS, power lifting, Renegades, Robotics, Skills USA, Starlettes dance team, student council, UIL academics, UIL journalism, and UIL theater.

The school's esteemed choir department performed at the White House in December 2008 and a $10 million state-of-the-art athletic complex, known as "Mustang Stadium," opened in 2009.
