Company History

The Llano County Journal provides the most complete award-winning report of community news and school sports in Llano and Llano County, including the large unincorporated lakefront area of Kingsland. Originally a free newspaper, its current owners converted it to a paid newspaper in 2008 with the knowledge that when readers pay for a newspaper they want it and are more likely to read it. It is distributed on Wednesdays by newspaper carriers and mail.
