Pollard,RichardA 72-year-old Llano County man with seven prior intoxication-related convictions has been convicted of an eighth.

State District Judge Dan Mills sentenced Richard Lee Pollard of Llano to life in prison on Tuesday after a Llano County jury spent 20 minutes determining he was guilty of driving while intoxicated (third or more).

The jury spent less than 20 minutes deciding Pollard’s fate.

He had been pulled over by Llano County deputies just outside of Llano on May 27, 2013, and arrested for DWI.
