Judge Dan Mills may draw opponent

Marble Falls Mayor George Russell told city council members at their Tuesday evening meeting that he is considering running for the county judge position will be open because incumbent Donna Klaeger has decided against running again.
The next morning, Marble Falls Mayor Pro-Tem Jane Marie Hurst told a Highlander reporter she also is considering getting into the race.
Meanwhile, Attorney Evan Stubbs, who has a Lampasas-based practice and extensive family roots in Marble Falls and Blanco County, said Tuesday he probably will run against Mills.
"I have not made a final decision yet and I haven’t filed any paperwork but, yes, it is my intention at this time to run for the 424th judge position,” Stubbs said.The 424th judicial covers Burnet, Blanco, Llano and San Saba counties.
