Llano County kicks off Christmas

December 04, 2012, 9:00 pm by Frank L. Graham

The Christmas season is officially alive in Llano County.

Hundreds of shoppers descended on Llano to drop their children off and go shopping at the Drop and Shop Friday night presented by Main Street and to sample the crafter booths and retail stores on Saturday.

Hundreds lined the downtown streets for the annual Llano Lighted Christmas parade.

The grand champion entry went to the Valley Spring Volunteer Fire Department and 4-H Club.

In the Commercial Division, the winners were Stonewall Chamber of Commerce, First; River City Wrecker Service Llano, Second; Kingsland Chamber of Commerce, Third.

In the Non Commercial Division the winners were the Valley Spring Volunteer Fire Department and 4-H Club, First; Fuel Coffee House, Second; Hill Country Health Care, Third.
