Fire destroys Llano home

December 18, 2012, 9:00 pm by Lyn Odom

A Llano County woman and her two children escaped safely as their home on the 1600 block of Hwy. 2241 in Llano burned, completely gutting the structure, a cabin-type house.

The Llano Volunteer Fire Department responded and believes it was a heat lamp in a doghouse that sparked the fire. The dog’s house was just a couple of feet away from the outside of the home.

The woman got her two children out of harm’s way, but had left her cell phone in the house.
