Reader’s Choice winner nets $50

Madison Mitchell, winner of the Llano County Journal’s Reader’s Choice drawing for the week of Dec. 20, is a junior at Llano High School.

"Everyone in our class entered the contest,” Mitchell said. "And then our teacher, Mrs. Henderson, collected them and sent them in.”

When asked what she was going to do with her $50 winnings, Mitchell replied, "I’m not sure. Maybe I’ll save it or buy something nice for myself.”

Mitchell said her favorite category of the Reader’s Choice Ballot was the food section. "I eat out at a lot of places,” she said. "It was fun to get to vote for the things that I liked at my favorite places.”

You don’t have to enter the contest – or provide your name and contact information – to vote in the annual fun contest to recognize exceptional businesses and individuals in the community.

Just return the ballot on Page 11-A of today’s paper to The Llano County Journal at 507 Bessemer, or mail it to our office at 507 Bessemer, Llano, Texas, 78643 by Jan. 7, 2013 at 5 p.m.

But to be eligible for next week’s cash prize of $50, complete the entry box so we can contact you if you’re a winner!

To encourage readers to get their votes in early for the 14thannual awards, the amount of the cash prize will be reduced after the next drawing!
