Final 2013 Reader’s Choice winner chosen

Llano resident Cindy Campbell won last week’s final Reader’s Choice Awards for The Llano County Journal ballot drawing of $50.

"We enjoy the Reader’s Choice so much every year,” Campbell said. "My husband Dean and I filled it out together so we could get our two-cents in. We have lived in Llano for the last three years, but have had property here for 10 years. We recently built a home and moved here from Fort Worth.

Ellen Bode, associate publisher of The Highlander, Burnet Bulletin and The Llano County Journal, said, "the response from our readers this year to our annual Reader’s Choice Awards has been tremendous. Votes are now being tabulated and the winners will be announced in a special magazine next month that will be distributed with our newspapers.”

According to Campbell, this year’s extended favorites selections were a real treat.

"While filling out the Reader’s Choice ballot this year, we got to include so many people that we know that fit into the different categories, she said. "We look forward to the awards. The ballot is a lot of fun to fill out.”
