Kingsland bank robbery suspect arrested
The Llano County Sheriff's Office released a photo of Benton Paul Buratti, who has been named as a suspect in connection with a robbery of a Kingsland bank.

A suspect wanted in connection with a robbery at a Kingsland bank that occurred two weeks ago has been arrested in Arlington, Texas, Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn said Saturday.

Benton Paul Burratti, 29, was captured in Arlington Friday morning after investigators from the Llano County Sheriffs Office and the Marble Falls Police Department worked in conjunction with the FBI and local authorities in Arlington, who tracked down and arrested  Burratti who was holed up in a motel room, according to Blackburn.

"We got information of where Burratti was in Arlington, and the FBI and local authorities arrested him without incident," Blackburn said. "Llano investigators did an excellent job and Investigator Bucky Boswell stayed with this investigation from the moment the robbery occurred and did an outstanding job, as did the Marble Falls Police Department. Llano County Sheriffs Office has located the car involved and other possible arrests are pending."

The robbery occurred about 5 p.m. Jan. 4 at American Bank of Texas in Kingsland.

In a press release, Llano County Sheriffs stated they believe the man who robbed the bank and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash did not act alone, and a white female is also being sought as a person of interest.

Buratti’s last known address was in the Marble Falls area. The suspect in the robbery was described as a dark-haired white male between 5'7" to 5'9" weighing 150 to 175 pounds. Burratti is now a redhead with a crew cut.

Buratti was identified as a suspect after investigators followed up on a Hill Country Crime Stopper’s tip, as well as other information from the public.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Llano County Sheriff’s Office and speak to Investigator Boswell at 325.247.5767. Persons who wish to remain anonymous can contact Hill Country Crime Stoppers at 1.866.756.8477.

Well, he was going down either way. You simply cannot wear a jacket that ugly and not expect to be arrested for something.
