Six hospitalized after ambulance collision

Six people were hospitalized Saturday after an ambulance struck a vehicle at a KIngsland intersection Saturday.

At about 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Texas DPS, Burnet County Sheriffs Deputies, Kingsland Volunteer Fire Department, Marble Falls EMS, Air Evac 49 of Marble Falls and Air Evac Killeen responded to a collision at the intersection of RR 1431 and RR 3404 in Kingsland.

Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn said that the accident occurred when a Llano County ambulance heading north on RR 1431 rear-ended a vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn onto RR 3404, also known as Slab Road.

Air Evac 49 Marble Falls and Air Evac Killeen transported two unidentified individuals to nearby hospitals and several additional entities transported four others.
