KMUD OKs contract with Community Center

February 25, 2013, 7:30 am by Alexandria Randolph

Kingsland Municipal Utility District Board of Directors voted Monday to approve an annual lease contract with the Kingsland Community Center, which is now owned by KMUD.

Kingsland Community Center Board of Directors approved a contract that set the first year lease rate that several Kingsland Community Center Board members were not happy with.

"It says $3,000 for the first year and $6,000 for each additional year. I would like to change the $6,000,” Kingsland Community Center board member John McWilliams said before KMUD Director Larry Denney said the value of the lease would go directly toward funding maintenance expenses for the center, he said the value was fair.
