A high-speed chase Tuesday night led officers from Bertram PD, Burnet PD and Llano County Sheriffs Department on a 75 mile pursuit on TX 29. According to Llano Country Sheriff Bill Blackburn, the chase began in Bertram between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m and headed west on TX 29, ending in Mason. Blackburn said that Llano County deputies joined the chase between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. after the driver had sped through the city of Llano at roughly 80 miles per hour. Speeds during the chase ranged from 50 to 100 miles per hour, and the average speed was around 80 miles per hour, Blackburn said. The suspect, who has not yet been identified, was arrested in Mason.
