Sheriff’s deputy injured in arrest
Arresting Llano Police Officer Holly Kline, right, stopped to speak to Francisco Arce Martinez and his brother Sergio, not pictured, for suspicious activity Sunday evening at 8:20 p.m. Constable Joe Simpson handcuffed Martinez without incident but Sergio took off running and has eluded law enforcement.

A Llano County sheriff got a tooth knocked out by a suspect Sunday evening while attempting to catch the man who took off running from a traffic stop.

Llano County Deputy Mark Burke was called to assist Llano Police officer Holly Kline who had pulled up next to a blue Mustang improperly parked and for suspicious activity on the 100 block of E. Main St.

Two brothers, Francisco Arce Martinez, in the driver’s seat, and Sergio Martinez, were sitting in the car and both had open containers, police said.
