Llano Independent School District on Thursday reported that 96 percent of the junior class at Llano High School passed all tests taken from the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) Exit Level state assessments.
As stated on its website, "the TAKS assessments are designed to measure the extent to which a student has learned and is able to apply the defined knowledge and skills at each tested grade level.”
According to a news release, students in the junior class at Llano High School passed 434 of the 439 tests.
Casey Callahan, who will officially become LISD Superintendent in July, expressed his pleasure with the results.
"It shows that our students are doing extremely well,” he said, "and I’m very happy with that.”
