Llano County names road commissioner
June 11, 2013, 8:30 pm by Lance Reaves
Llano County Commissioners Monday appointed a bridge and road commissioner for the Llano County Road and Bridge Department, reviewed the Way company’s survey results, approved rescheduling of the Save the Library Street Dance and once again tabled the burn ban.
Precinct 4 Commissioner Jerry Don Moss recommended Richard Wooten from the eight applicants for bridge and road commissioner.
"I think he will be a very good bridge and road commissioner,” Moss said. "He’s familiar with the county and worked in different precincts.”
Commissioners unanimously approved Wooten’s appointment, as well as the $44,000 per year salary. The position will start June 21.
