Damaged lighting system hot potato in HSB

A repair bill roughly estimated at $100,000 for damages to the Horseshoe Bay Boulevard lighting system is currently being tossed between the City of Horseshoe Bay, the Horseshoe Bay Resort and the Horseshoe Bay Property Owners Association.
In a meeting Wednesday, the Horseshoe Bay Property Owners
Association Board approved a $2,000 study to determine the cost of repairing
the lighting damaged during the repaving of Horseshoe Bay Boulevard by Willis
Environmental Engineering, Inc., part of the city’s street improvement project.
The damage occurred when a bomag – a mill and overlay machine – churned up the
road pavement, damaging the wires buried underneath that power the lighting
along the median.
