Spec's to open in Marble Falls Aug. 3

Wine, spirits and fine foods retailer Spec’s is settling into its new Marble Falls address and preparing to open its doors on Saturday as retailers busily stock the shelves of the nearly 18,000 square foot space in the old Sutherlands building at 2510 US 281.
"You have to go as far as Austinto another Spec’s store to get a wine selection as extensive as we have here,” said Central Texas Director of Operations Buzz Wilson.
The shelves in Spec’s are already stocked with what store executives refer to as the far end of products that grocery stores sell, offering everything from fine cheeses and hors d’oeuvres to coffee and meat rubs. They specialize in party foodstuffs.
"We customize our inventory for the community,” said store manager Bob Thompson. He said if customers are looking for a particular item that isn’t in stock "we will look into getting it.”
