LCRA officials said during a public meeting Thursday night that they would continue to take citizen comments and questions about the proposed Watershed Ordinance revisions until Sept. 30.
In a public meeting last night, LCRA Water Resource Protection Manager Lisa Hatzenbuehler said that the organization would be accepting two rounds of comments.
"We’re going to take comments until Aug. 30. Then staff will take 15 days to bring all the comments together. We’re going to respond to comments,” she said.
Hatzenbuehler said the second round of comments will be accepted until Sept. 15.
"In the second round of comments we’re going to look at all the fees,” she said. "The second comment period will end on Sept. 30.”
Following public input, the final draft of the Watershed
Ordinance revision will be sent to the LCRA Board of Directors for approval.
"Keep in mind the board action could be two months later
than we anticipate,” Hatzenbuehler said.
