Llano commissioners approve road closing, replat

Commissioners Monday approved closing a portion of County Road 202 at the Little Llano Branch Crossing next year, as well as a replat request in Rio Llano.
The temporary road closure is necessary for the Texas Department of Transportation to construct a new bridge at CR 202. The replacement is part of the matching grant program with TxDOT for bridge repairs with Llano County, according to County Judge Wayne Brascom.
The project is anticipated to begin in fall 2014.
Precinct 2 Commissioner Linda Raschke said drivers will still have access to cross on either side via TX 29 and Ranch Road 2241. The road closure could last up to six months, Raschke added.
