Llano County Commissioners Monday voted unanimously to keep the burn ban off and voted 4-1 to approve the master site radio communication system interoperable cooperation agreement between the city of Austin and Llano County, with Commissioner Raschke voting against it.
"I feel we can leave the burn ban off even with the winds considering all the rain we have had and that things are greening up, ” said Commissioner Jerry Don Moss.
Commissioner Linda Raschke agreed. "The fire chiefs I’ve spoken to have said they felt it was OK to keep the burn ban off.”
Llano County Judge Wayne Brascom, and commissioners Ron Wilson and Peter Jones agreed, and all voted for no burn ban.
Llano and Burnet counties had 2-inches to 5-inches of rain last week.
