Marble Falls girls golf team shoots school record

Marble Fallsí girls golf team continued their hot pace with a school record 334 round Tuesday at the Llano River Golf Club.
Sophomore Shelcee Clark shot a personal best 5-over par 77 and took second overall in the tournament to lead the way to the team victory. In all six of the eight girls shot personal bests.
The team record bettered the 2008 mark by 19 strokes. The team also bettered district rival Leander by 21 strokes for the day.
Blaire Hambrick shot an 82 and tied for fifth place.
Kelsie Tackitt shot an 87 and Breanna Heinzke fired an 88 to round out the four top scores. Sam Offutt shot a 99 as part of the first team.
Chloe Parnell shot a 94 to lead the three medalist. Peyton Fishbeck added a 95 and Delaney Kelley a 108.
The Lady Mustangs were coming off a third-place finish at the Chisholm Trail Tournament over the weekend at Horseshoe Bay, The Lady Mustangs had rounds of 385 at Apple Rock and 380 at Slick Rock.
In their first tournament of the spring the girls shot a 359 at Hidden Falls Golf Club in Meadowlakes. The team was sixth in the Class 4A division of the tournament in Meadowlakes.
