Faith splits tourney games

The Faith Academy Flames split four games in the Texas School for the Deaf Tournament over the weekend.
The Lady Flames are 13-4 for the season.
Faith Academy opened the tournament with a 57-26 win over Colleyville Convenant. Christian. The team broke out in the second quarter with a 21-5 run to take a 28-12 halftime lead.
Taylor Denton scored 19 on six of 11 shooting. Juliette Fisher had a solid game with 12 points and made four of five shots for the game.
The Lady Flames shot 54 percent (19 of 35) for the game. The team was three of seven from beyond the 3-point arc. Denton shot all the 3-pointers.
Hannah Cozby and Fisher pulled down five rebounds each. Sierra Brinkley and Juliette Fisher had three steals apiece.
Cozby and Joanna Piatek had nine points each and Brinkley added six points.
In their second game on Friday, the Lady Flames dropped a 37-34 decision to Godís Academy of Lake Dallas.
