Hugh Michael Blitch June 27, 1920 ~ Nov. 10, 2012

Hugh Michael "Mike” Blitch passed away Nov. 10, in Burnet. He was born March 18, 1947, in Stockton, Calif., to Harold E. and Bess Scott Blitch. He lived in Lawrence, Kan., until 1966 when he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. Blitch was twice deployed to Vietnam where he learned to be a welder. He continued this work the remainder of his life. He had lived in Burnet for approximately twenty years.
Blitch is survived by mother Bess; sister Beth; son Jay, wife Amber and their four children; son Joel, wife Camisha and their two children; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Debbie Gordon Blitch and his father Harold Eugene Blitch.
A memorial service in his memory will be held Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Burnet with Pastor Jon Weems officiating. Condolences to the family may be offered to www.clementswilcoxburnet.com.
