Angela Fielding May 16, 1922 - Dec. 19, 2012December 14, 2012, 9:12 am by Staff Reports
She lived in New Rochelle until leaving for Blue Ridge College where she earned her degree and met the man who would become her husband of 69 years. She and George were married in 1943 and spent the next few years living in multiple locations across the country, depending on where Uncle Sam needed George to be. Their first child, Carol, was born during this time. After the war ended they settled in Chicago where their two sons, Bill and David, were born. They moved to Winfield, Kansas in 1953 when George was transferred there by Binney and Smith. They enjoyed life in Winfield for 18 years and their daughter, Barbara, was born there. Fielding was an avid golfer, bridge player and volunteer during these years. She was always involved in her church and community as well as at the various schools her children attended. In 1971, George was transferred to Dallas and Fielding decided to start a new career. She took courses and obtained her Real Estate License. She thoroughly enjoyed selling homes for the next 12 years. In 2000, Angela and George decided to move "out of the city” and after looking all around the country decided that the Texas Hill Country was right for them. They moved to Horseshoe Bay where they made many new friends, playing golf, bridge and a lot of Texas Hold’em! She is survived by her loving husband, George; her four children and their spouses, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial mass celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Chapel in Horseshoe Bay. Angela lived a very full, active 90 years and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Building Fund, PO Box 8019 Horseshoe Bay, TX 78657 or the American Heart Association. Condolences may be offered at www.clementswilcoxfuneralhome.com. Arrangements under the direction of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home of Marble Falls. |
