John Philip Hopkins Oct. 25, 1963 ~ Dec. 25, 2012
John Philip Hopkins, 49, of Kingsland went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Dec. 25. He was born to Curtis Gene and Phyllis Jane (Berry) Hopkins on Oct. 25, 1963 in Phoenix, Ariz.
Hopkins was a director for the TXCOC.com and former pastor of the Northside Baptist Church in Burnet. He was a godly man who lived his life for the Lord and left his legacy for his family.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years Misty Hopkins; children Ashley and husband David Dilworth, Byran Hopkins, Holly Hopkins, Cassie Hopkins, and Ezra Hopkins; and four beautiful grandchildren. Our favorite sermon of his was "God does his greatest work in Man’s darkest hour.” His favorite poem was "Only one life, ‘twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.”
Special thanks to the first responder paramedics of Kingsland, Officer D. Johnson of the Llano County Sheriffs Department, Judge Linda Ballard, and Chris Putnam of Putnam Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hopinghelp.com in his memory.
Graveside services were held at the Llano City Cemetery Dec. 27. An online guest register may be signed at www.Putnam-Cares.com.
Funeral arrangements made by Putnam Funeral Home in Kingsland.
