Barry David Beasley, 62, of Buchanan Dam was born in Savannah, Ga., on March 18, 1850 to Jack and Virginia Moore Beasley and passed from this life on Jan. 12 at home surrounded by loving family.
Beasley owned and operated the Poppy’s Pointe Resort on Lake Buchanan for many years. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by wife Debra; and his parents.
He is survived by son Dustin Beasley and wife Kristy of Temecula, Calif.; brothers Bill Beasley and wife Gwen of Guyton, Ga., and Joe Beasley of Lakeland, Fla.; sister Deborah Johnson of Buchanan Dam; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Poppy’s Point Resort at a later date. Arrangements by Edgar Funeral Home in Burnet.
