Ross Jackson, 90, of Meadowlakes was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Liberty Hill to Chester Jackson and Ida (Perry) Jackson.
He passed away on Jan. 11 in Round Rock at Seton Williamson County Hospital. Jackson graduated from Monument High School in New Mexico and Hardin-Simmons University.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a pilot with the rank of First Lieutenant. He was a longtime member of Marble Falls First United Methodist Church and a member of Blazing Star Masonic Lodge No. 413 A.F. & A.M. in Marble Falls. Jackson retired as a district manager for the Hughes Christensen Drilling Equipment Company.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth; son Buzz; grandchildren Michael, and Kelly and husband Marc; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews Nancy, Suzie, Rusty and Mike. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Chester "Jiggs” Jackson.
Visitation was held Jan. 14, from 5-7 p.m. at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Marble Falls First United Methodist Church. Military Honors and interment will follow at Andice Cemetery in Andice, Texas.
