He passed away on Jan. 11 in Round Rock at Seton Williamson County Hospital. Jackson graduated from Monument High School in New Mexico and Hardin-Simmons University. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a pilot with the rank of First Lieutenant. He was a longtime member of Marble Falls First United Methodist Church and a member of Blazing Star Masonic Lodge No. 413 A.F. & A.M. in Marble Falls. Jackson retired as a district manager for the Hughes Christensen Drilling Equipment Company. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth; son Buzz; grandchildren Michael, and Kelly and husband Marc; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews Nancy, Suzie, Rusty and Mike. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Chester "Jiggs” Jackson. Visitation was held Jan. 14, from 5-7 p.m. at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Marble Falls First United Methodist Church. Military Honors and interment will follow at Andice Cemetery in Andice, Texas.
