Howard I. Miller March 3, 1915 ~ Jan. 18, 2013

He was welcomed into God’s arms on Jan. 18. Miller is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Oletha Miller; son Howard Miller Jr. and wife Linda; daughters Linda and husband Jerry Thomas, and Sue and husband Walter Jones; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; Miller grew up in the Detroit area and was employed by General Motors Corp. of Pontiac Mich., until he entered the Air Force in 1942. After WWII, he met the love of his life in Houston and married her. They settled in Pasadena, Texas, where they raised three children, and he opened an auto upholstery shop. After 30 years of running his business, he and his family happily retired in Burnet.
He was a special man with a sweet smile and will be missed by all who loved him.
A funeral service was held on Monday, Jan. 21 at the First Christian Church of Burnet, with Rev. Dawn Rosignal officiating.
Interment followed in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Briggs. In lieu of usual remembrances, memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church, Box 872 in Burnet. The family would like to personally thank our wonderful family and friends for the outpouring of love and support during this time. We would also like to thank the wonderful staff at the Oaks Nursing Home, Seton Highland Lakes Hospital, Texas Home Health Services for the kindness and care they gave him. Oaks Nursing Home will forever have a special place in our hearts for the kindness they have bestowed upon us. The family extends a special thank you to all the members of the First Christian Church of Burnet for all the attention they have given Mom and Dad for over 30 years of
membership.
