Oriz Dale Hewgley  May 29, 1919.  ~ Feb. 16, 2013
Dale Hewgley (Oriz Dale Hewgley), Eagle Scout, World War II veteran, Boy Scouts of America professional and beloved husband and father, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 after a brief illness.   He was 93 years of age.  Dale was born to Kathryn Baker Hewgley and Almus Clyde Hewgley on a farm north of Brownwood, Texas, near Owens on May 29, 1919.  Dale married Marjorie Juanita Lewis in Abilene, Texas on April 26, 1946.
Dale is survived by Marjorie, his wife of 67 years, along with their four children: Terry Jean Onda, Gregory Dale Hewgley, Sue Ella Bain, and Jeffrey Clyde Hewgley. He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Tory Onda, Ryan Bain, and Reanna Bain.  He was preceded in death by his father Almus Clyde Hewgley, mother Kathryn Baker Hewgley and brothers Clyde Almus Hewgley, and Kenneth Ray Hewgley.
The family wishes to express its thanks to Buckner Villas - The Campbell Center for the loving care they have provided Dale.
Private family internment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio will be held at a later date. The family encourages friends to share their remembrances of Dale during the memorial service to be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 411 Ranch Road 620 South, Lakeway, Texas, on Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m.
