He was born on June 12, 1926 in Belgrade, Neb. to Herman and Grace Marshall, who passed away when he was a young boy. He was raised by foster parents Levi and Katherine Palmer in North Platte, Neb., where he graduated from high school and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1944. He was a graduate of Midland College, Fremont, Neb. and was a businessman most of his life in Columbus, Neb. and Marble Falls.
He married Mary Jo Glenn on Aug. 21, 1948.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his foster parents, his sister Shirley Dodson, his wife, Mary Jo.
Survivors include daughters Susan Marshall and special daughter-in-law Patty Vannoord of Del Valle, and Mary Riley of Buchanan Dam and Peg Marshall of Omaha, Neb; granddaughter Stephanie Larsen; great-grandchildren Peyton and Piper of Marble Falls; grandson Eric Larsen and wife Marcela Larsen; great-grandchildren Emma and Kate of Oregon; and loving dogs, Rocky and Zoe.
