Michael Denton Farmer May 5, 1955 ~ July 24, 2013

Mike, the fifth of seven siblings, entered this world on the auspicious date of 5/5/55. He was born in San Diego, Calif. to Charles Martin Farmer and Kathleen Violet Kerns.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
Mike is survived by his sisters Patricia (Boots) Carl, Michelle Mellow, and Kathleen Munsell, brothers Charles Martin (Pat) Farmer Jr., John Farmer, and Milton (Mac) MaCree. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Patricia (Patty) Farmer of Llano. Also surviving are his children, Michael Angelo Farmer and wife, Jesika, of Llano, Joshua Denton Farmer of Llano and Tasha Nate’ Farmer Bustamante and husband Carlos of Anchorage, Alaska, his stepchildren, Cameron Copeland and Jordan Copeland, Grandchildren Echo Leotus Farmer, Epic Lyrikia Farmer, Diego Joaquin Bustamante and Julian Michael Bustamante.
Mike was a skilled and inspired artist. He practiced the lost art of hand painting signs and taught art for free to special needs children. His adventures in life saw him through most of the United States in both work and play. He drew inspiration and comfort from the outdoors most especially the mountains. A loving and devoted father and grandfather whose generosity extended beyond his family to anyone whom he felt needed a helping hand. He will be missed.
Although Mike has departed this earthly life, his legacy lives on in his children, grandchildren and the many lives of those he touched.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church of Llano with the Rev. Ron Anderson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Llano Christian Academy or the Llano Fine Arts Guild.
