Lucille M. Bode

Lucille M. Bode, 97, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19. She was born Jan. 1, 1916 in Cherokee to Boyd Hanna and Mabel Christian Hanna. She married Theodore J. (Ted) Bode on Dec. 28, 1935 in Brady and was a lifetime resident of San Saba County.
Lucille is survived by sons, Ken Bode and Judy Hanks of Voca, Texas, Tooter Bode and wife, Pat, of San Antonio. Daughters Lugenia Capps of Pontotoc, Texas; Vicki Barker and husband, Kim, of Cherokee. Ten grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore (Ted) Bode, parents, daughter, Sara Kuykendall; son, Richard Bode; and two brothers, Clayton and Bob Hanna.
Pallbearers will be Ken Bode, Tooter Bode, Richard Bode, Rusty Capps, Bode Barker and Clay Bode. Honorary Pallbearers will be T. J. Webster, Marty Gray, Harold Barber and Zane Bode.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne-Funeral Home in Llano.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Thomas Bowden officiating. Burial will follow at the Pontotoc Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pontotoc Cemetery Association.
