Soapbox Classic brings interstate competition

The fourth annual Soapbox Classic brought racers from across Texas, and as far as Colorado and Kansas to Marble Falls this father’s day weekend.

Child predator gets life sentence

A Round Mountain man was sentenced to life in prison after Judge Dan Mills of the 424th District Court found him guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Michael Ribera, 52, originally pled guilty to the crime on Oct. 22, 2010 and was placed on deferred adjudication for a period of 10 years. Ribera had been on probation three times before.
