Cedar Park delivers physical effort in win over Mustangs

Llano rally comes up short

BOERNE – Friday’s game between Llano and Boerne was high school football at its best.

Boerne won 35-27 and improved to 2-2, same as the Yellow Jackets. But each team overcame tough obstacles and each team showed a lot of class and character.

The home team Greyhounds missed their coach and quarterback for two vital practice days because of the death of head coach Mike Dormady’s uncle. BHS quarterback Quinten Dormady is the coach’s son and he, too, grieved,

Faith wins at San Antonio

 Brian Freeman scored twice and Seth McAnally and Jason Byrd added scores to lead the Faith Academy Flames to a 28-20 win over St. Mary’s Hall of San Antonio Friday night in a private school football game.

Faith Academy is 3-0 on the season with the victory.

Boerne competitive through three games

Llano’s early season roll continues this week with a trip to Boerne.

Llano's Hutto provides difference in Yellow Jackets victory

BANDERA – Llano withstood a furious Bandera comeback to win 39-26 Friday night at Bulldog Stadium.

The outmanned Bulldogs pulled to within seven points and were dominating the second half until Yellow Jacket quarterback Layton Rabb connected with Isaac Hutto for 68 yards on the next to last play of the third quarter. Allen Lucas scored from 21 yards on the next play to push Llano (2-1) to a 33-19 lead.

Llano blasts Bangs 50-23

BANGS -- Llano used a balanced attack to spoil Bangs' homecoming Friday night in a 50-23 win at Memorial Stadium.

Yellow Jacket quarterback Layton Rabb threw for 189 yards on15 of 18 passes with four touchdowns to lead the offensive outburst.
